Description
This site offers coastal soaring with a takeoff direction between 180 and 210 degrees. No flight logs have been found for this location. Visiting pilots should contact the Guernsey Paragliding Club (GPC) at http://guernseyparagliding.com/cms_gpc before planning their trip.
There is no bottom landing available; pilots must land back in the takeoff field. To get there, turn down the lane off Route De Pleinmont next to Les Tielles nursing home in the Parish of Torteval. Park at the car park at the end and walk to the site.
This is a privately owned site, so obtaining the owner's permission is necessary. Be aware of potential rotor hazards during takeoff and landing if the wind is crossed.
All flights are regulated under class 'A' airspace, requiring prior permission from the airport. Pilots must be members of the GPC and either Guernsey residents or visiting pilots accompanied by a GPC member. Prior registration with the airport via the GPC is required, which takes approximately two weeks. The maximum altitude allowed is 60 meters above takeoff due to the proximity of the airport, and no cross-country flights are permitted.
For more information, please read the club rules on the Guernsey Paragliding Club website. Contact the Guernsey Paragliding Club at contact@guernseyparagliding.com for any inquiries.
Parking coordinates for both takeoff and landing are 49.4251 N, 2.6392 W.
