Description
Located in the Unterterzen region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 1994 meters. The launch area is a moderately steep alpine meadow, making it suitable for pilots with some experience. The site is regularly used, and cross-country flights are possible.
Transportation to the launch site can be done in two ways:
1. From Flums Bahnhof, take a Postauto to Tannenboden, then continue with the cable car to Maschgenkamm.
2. From Unterterzen, take the cable car directly to Tannenboden and then proceed to Maschgenkamm.
Special Note: After takeoff, fly westward until you have crossed the wooden fence, then follow the ridge northward. Be cautious of potential turbulence when crossing the wooden fence, as it can occur depending on thermal updrafts.
The launch window faces northwest and is of medium difficulty. The exact coordinates for the launch site are 9.25095965, 47.06901221, and it is situated at an altitude of 2040 meters. The cable car is available for transport, and the hike to the launch site takes approximately 10 minutes.
