Location: Corumbá, MS, Brazil Altitude: 1065 meters / 3493.2 feet Vertical Drop: 790 meters / 2591.2 feet Wind Direction: S, NE, N, NW, W, SW Access: Located 417 km from Campo Grande, near the Brazil-Bolivia border. The site is easily accessible up to the top of Morro do Urucum, where an iron ore mining company operates. Take-off: The take-off area is a wide grass ramp allowing for 360° take-offs. Landing: The landing zone is a beautiful field at the priest’s ranch, which features a mineral water pool. Best Season: All year long. Official Club: Clube Tuiuiú de Vôo Livre Advantages: The site offers a stunning view over the Pantanal swamps, strong thermals, and possibilities for cross-country (XC) flights. Pilots can enjoy flying alongside tuiuiú birds. Disadvantages: The location is rarely used and the flight routes are largely unexplored. There are few roads for pilot retrieval, and access is restricted to those with authorization from the club due to the private mining area.
