Description
Take off from a North Easterly facing ridge, using the flat fields on the ridge top to the south of Shell Beach.
Land on the edge of the sand dunes behind Shell Beach.
To get there, take the Herm Ferry from Guernsey and walk to the take-off site. Note that cars are not allowed on the ferry or on Herm Island.
There are special conditions for flying in Herm. Please read the club rules on the Guernsey Paragliding Club (GPC) website.
All flights are in Class 'A' airspace and require prior permission from the airport. Flyers must be members of the Guernsey Paragliding Club and Guernsey residents, or if visiting, must be accompanied by a GPC member and be pre-registered with the airport via the GPC. Prior registration takes approximately two weeks. The maximum altitude allowed is 60 meters above take-off due to the proximity of the airport. Cross-country flights are not permitted.
