The launch site is situated at an altitude of 1850-1887 meters, with a height difference of approximately 1000 meters. This location is particularly popular during the winter season. There are multiple take-off options available, either from this altitude or lower. It's conveniently close to the chairlift exit, but if you prefer, you can also opt for a walk & fly approach.
This site is frequently used and offers excellent soaring conditions, making it a great spot for cross-country (XC) flights.

The landscape around Reutte may not be as picturesque as the nearby towns of Tannheim, Pfronten, and Füssen, but the flying conditions at Hahnenkamm above Reutte are noteworthy. The take-off direction is generally towards the southeast and east, which often results in higher thermals compared to other areas. Be prepared for higher climb rates due to the elevated cloud base. The potential for cross-country flights is significantly higher here. Additionally, the landing site offers a catering service, adding to the convenience of this location.
