Paragliding Regensburg Winzerer Höhen

The Winzerer Höhen in Regensburg, Germany, offer a beautiful flying site within the city limits. The main launch site is regularly used and provides excellent soaring conditions, especially with southwest winds. Occasionally, cross-country flights are possible. The site is known for its top landing opportunities. The ridge is approximately 100 meters high and nearly 2 kilometers long, making it ideal for extended soaring flights when the wind is from the south. The south-facing slope often provides good thermal connections. Due to the cliff-like launch site and limited landing options, the area can only be used with an unrestricted pilot's license (B-Schein). Access and Parking: From the A93, take the Regensburg-Pfaffenstein exit (#39) and head out of the city towards Etterzhausen. Follow the B8 to the Winzer district. Park your car along the local streets, being mindful of residents. From there, walk up the "Kagerer Weg" to reach the launch site on the Winzerer Höhen. The launch site is directly along the path on the Winzerer Höhen. Please prepare your gear in the background before moving to the front area for takeoff over the edge.
