Description
Karandila is situated in the 'Blue Stones' park. The western launch site can be accessed by chairlift from the merger or by car (approximately 30 kilometers). The launch site, at an altitude of 1020 meters above sea level, is rocky and not recommended for novice pilots.
Nearby, you'll find the TV tower. The launch site is suitable for take-offs in H, WSW, and WNW winds. Landing zones are improvised in the fields around the former hospital.
If you have a car, you can drive to the hotel Karandila to reach the eastern launch site. This site is a meadow near the lake, and the surrounding meadows near the village of Sotirya can be used for landing.
