Karandila, located above the town of Sliven in Bulgaria, is a popular paragliding site within the Natural Park 'Blue Stones'. The site is accessible by lift, car (33 km), or walking trails, with the 'Haidushkata' trail being the most popular, taking about an hour to climb. The site offers multiple take-off points: - Sinilka at 960 meters altitude, located above the Sotirya quarter. - Eastern rocks Karandila at 940 meters altitude, near Panaretov village and Glufishevo village. The western take-off point, at 1020 meters altitude, is rocky and not suitable for novice pilots. It can be reached by chairlift or car. This launch site is suitable for take-offs in H, WSW, and WNW winds. Landing areas are improvised around the former hospital. For the eastern take-off, you can drive to the hotel Karandila. This take-off is a meadow near the lake, with landing areas in the meadows around the village of Sotirya. The site record for distance is 75.5 km, indicating good potential for cross-country flights.
