Paragliding Schwarzenbach

The paragliding site at Schwarzenbach in Burgenland is rarely used and offers short flights, making it less relevant for most pilots. The site is not suitable for beginners due to its challenging terrain. However, under good thermal conditions, the small elevation difference is sufficient to stay airborne. If no thermal lift is found, pilots can land back at the launch site. To access the site, drive past the village of Schwarzenbach to the end of the valley. The road then winds towards Hochwolkersdorf in the Bucklige Welt region. From a small parking area, it's just a few meters to the launch site. A site briefing by a member of the Parateam Pannonia is required before flying. The area is also used by model aircraft enthusiasts.
