Starting from Grön, you will need to hike to Guggenen and then continue to the summit. The launch site is a moderately steep to steep meadow on the southernmost peak. Be cautious of tricky wind conditions and limited space for aborting a launch. The hike takes approximately 90 minutes. The Schwändliflue near Fluehli/Sörenberg in the canton of Lucerne is often referred to as the 'Fluehli Dolomites'. At first glance, it might not seem like a suitable flying area, but this is misleading. There are two good launch sites. At the southern end, you can take off from a sheep meadow in a southeasterly direction. A bit further north, the grassy saddle 'Grosse Chrinne' offers a launch site in a northwesterly direction. Winter thermals here can be quite convincing. However, the most rewarding aspect is the beautiful view you get after a strenuous hike.
