This site is regularly used and offers good soaring conditions with the Bise wind, making cross-country flights possible. Note that there is a winter closure from November 16th to April 15th. The site features a ramp for hang gliders and a natural launch for paragliders.

Access: You can drive to the site, and hitchhiking is possible when the restaurant is open.
Important Notes:
- Do not fly in crosswinds.
- The launch site is relatively steep and short.
- Official landing zones are at Schrapflisbühl and near Landi, Plaffeien (850m). Always land where the grass is mowed and exit high grass areas quickly.
Tip: This site is ideal for flying with the Bise wind.
Meeting Points:
- From 10:30 or 12:30 at the parking lot of Hotel Kaiseregg, at the riding arena Sellen, or on Saturdays from 12:00 at the Landi Plaffeien (observe parking regulations).
- Departures are always on the hour, and carpooling is encouraged.
Launch Site Gurli: Closed to cars from November 16th to April 15th.
Plaffeien Village: Located on a small plateau surrounded by wooded hills extending to Schwarzsee and the first 2000-meter peaks of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, such as Kaiseregg.
Flight Areas:
- Gurli: Ideal for Bise wind flights with landing in Plaffeien.
- Pfyffe: Can be rewarding with W wind, but only club members are allowed to drive to the launch site (private road).
Difficulty:
- Be cautious when flying from the Pfyffe launch site in Bise conditions due to turbulence. Fly at the Bise site at Gurli instead.
