Description
The take-off point is at Goesseck, which stands at 2214 meters. To reach this spot, you will need to undertake a challenging hike of approximately 2.5 hours. The elevation difference from the take-off to the landing site is around 1400 meters.
This location is rarely used and is one of several alternative starting points. It is particularly suited for hardcore hike & fly enthusiasts. Some cross-country (XC) flying is possible from here. The designated landing area is in Trofaiach.
Please note that flying towards Leoben or certain other areas is prohibited, so plan your flight path accordingly. Despite the restrictions, Goesseck is a beautiful mountain and offers a rewarding experience for those who make the trek.
