Description
Located in Central Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a medium-easy flying experience with an altitude of 950-1000 meters. The site is occasionally used and is known for its beautiful valley wind soaring. Some cross-country flying is possible here.
The site record is 10.7 km. To reach the takeoff point, you need to walk for about an hour from Lake Sihl up to 1380 meters above sea level. The takeoff directions are south, southwest, and west.
This small area is ideal for soaring with valley winds and is easily accessible on foot with a 10-15 minute ascent. Please pay attention to the instructions at the parking and landing areas and ensure you pay the modest landing fee to help maintain the site.
Dynamic soaring along the slope is enjoyable with west winds. If you gain enough altitude, you can attempt to head towards Hoch Ybrig or Chli Aubrig.
Be cautious with Bise winds as they can be very turbulent. This is noticeable if there is an east wind at the takeoff point despite valley winds at the landing area.
