Description
The take-off site is situated at an altitude of 730 meters with a height difference of 220 meters. This site is regularly used and offers opportunities for soaring and cross-country flights. Top landing is possible.

The launch area is quite flat and not suitable for beginners. Good launch technique is essential to avoid getting caught in the trees at the end of the launch path. It is crucial to check wind conditions beforehand. Launches should only be attempted if it is certain that the trees can be cleared with sufficient height. Access to the site is specially regulated, and a B-license is mandatory.

The launch area is very flat, requiring a clean take-off due to tall spruce trees at the end of the launch path. Aborting the flight before reaching the trees is not possible.
The site is managed by SauerlandAIR - Drachen- und Gleitschirmflieger e.V. Pilots can obtain a permit badge at Gasthof Riepen, which allows access to the launch site. Please coordinate with the club beforehand. The height difference is approximately 260 meters (L1: 264m, L2: 184m).
