This site is frequently used and is an ideal soaring ridge starting from 18 km/h wind speed. Top landing is possible.

This location offers good thermal entry opportunities in suitable weather conditions. The fields in front of the ridge are excellent thermal sources, and the wind pushes the thermals up the slope.

Parking near the landing site is prohibited, as is parking on the roadside. Access is via the forest at the rear, with parking available at Am Sonnenberg. The site was nearly closed due to issues caused by parked vehicles and the local farmer. For more parking information, contact the site holder.
Although the ridge may seem unimpressive at first glance, it offers excellent flying opportunities, especially for beginners. With wind speeds of 20 km/h from the south to southwest and suitable thermals, launching and flying can become quite sporty.
