Description
Monte Tenchia offers a paragliding experience with a takeoff altitude of 1,547 meters above sea level and a height difference of 970 meters. This site is regularly used and suitable for soaring and cross-country flights. It features a wooden ramp for hang gliding and a grassy area for paragliding takeoffs. Most pilots take off from the top.
The site is particularly recommended for beginners. However, it is crucial to avoid flying with winds from the north. The distance between the takeoff and landing zones is approximately 2,100 meters.
To reach the takeoff point, drive to 100 meters before the Church of Cercivento, turn right at the junction following signs for Monte Tenchia, and continue for about 10 kilometers on an asphalt road. The wooden ramp is located on the right side of the road.
The takeoff area has fixed windsocks and is best suited for winds coming from the south. There is also a top landing option 50 meters below the takeoff at "Piano delle Streghe."
Landing coordinates are N 46.52.421, E 13.00.470, with an altitude of 560 meters. The landing field is a well-maintained grassy area measuring 320 meters by 120 meters. Winds at the landing zone typically come from the south and northeast, and a fixed windsock is present.
Cross-country flights are possible in all directions from this site.
