Surf Wells bay

Wells Bay - Location Wells Bay features powerful sandbar waves that break both right and left over a sandy bottom interspersed with rocks. The spot is best surfed when the swell reaches 5 meters or more, with optimal conditions occurring at all tides. Accessing Wells Bay requires a long walk (over 30 minutes) down Wells Bay Road, but the effort is rewarded with a private surfing experience. The ideal approach is to paddle straight out when the swell is less than 5 meters, using the boulder in the bay as a reference point. The waves are consistent with east winds and swells from the north, northwest, and northeast. While the spot remains uncrowded during the week and weekends, surfers should be cautious of rips, undertow, and rocks.
