Surf Sucky Mamas

Sucky Mamas - Nembrala, Indonesia Sucky Mamas is a shifty righthander featuring a coral reef bottom that offers hollow, fast, and powerful waves. This spot is best surfed at mid to high tide, where it can produce genuine solid barrels from takeoff. The wave can become challenging when large swells roll in, breaking way outside and potentially cleaning up surfers. Located about 2 km north of Nembrala, access requires a boat, as it is approximately 1 km offshore. The wave can be tricky, shifting and jacking unpredictably, making it suitable for experienced surfers. On good days, a second, easier section about 80 meters down the line can link up with the outside for longer rides. Early mornings are optimal due to calmer winds, while afternoons can bring unrideable chop. Be cautious of sharp rocks in the area, as they pose a danger to surfers.
