Description
Boa - Indonesia
Boa features a right-hand reef break with a coral bottom, known for its hollow, fast, and powerful waves. The wave typically breaks 100-150 meters long, extending up to 250 meters on larger days. It performs best with a southwest to west-southwest swell at low to mid tide and offshore north winds, holding waves at least 2-3 times overhead.
This surf spot is accessible via a short paddle from the beach, with instant access available. While it can be inconsistent, Boa offers barrels near takeoff and down the line on good days, though it may close out at times. The best conditions are early morning or during the off-season, as trade winds can disrupt the surf by mid-morning. With few surfers during the week and on weekends, it provides a relatively uncrowded experience, but caution is advised due to rips, undertow, and sharp rocks.
