Surf Dedis

Dedis - Mooloolaba Dedis features fast and fun reef waves breaking both right and left over sharp rocks. The spot is best with ground swell and light winds, particularly from the northwest, west, or southwest. It works at low and mid tide, especially during falling tide, making it a prime location for experienced surfers. Access is straightforward; park at Mooloolaba and walk less than 5 minutes to the beach south of the rocks. While the waves can be intimidating due to the rocky bottom and potential hazards like urchins, the reward is high with fewer surfers compared to nearby spots. Expect to catch more waves without the crowd, and be prepared to navigate the closeout barrels on the left. The atmosphere is relaxed, allowing for a more enjoyable session away from the hustle of popular breaks.
