Surf Bombers

Bombers - New Zealand Bombers is a reef break located approximately 80 meters from the rocks, featuring both right and left-breaking waves over a bottom of coral and sharp rocks mixed with sand. The waves are characterized as hollow, fast, and powerful, making it a challenging surf spot that works best at low and mid tide during falling tide conditions. This spot offers instant access with a short walk of less than 5 minutes from the nearby car park. Surfers should be prepared to paddle through tumultuous whitewash to reach the break. The atmosphere is typically uncrowded, especially during the week, allowing for a more enjoyable experience. However, caution is advised due to the presence of rocks and the need for a steep take-off. Ideal surfing conditions occur from May to July, and it is recommended to surf with a buddy, as the waves can produce stand-up barrels on larger groundswells.
