The Vogelsang is a good choice in northwest or north-northwest conditions, offering a scenic alternative. Long flights towards the east over the Kaiser mountains to Lofer, Pinzgau, or Hochkönig are feasible.
Short, steep launch to the west. Additional launch site to the northeast at the summit.
Cross-country routes: Vogelsang - Bischofshofen / Vogelsang - Saalfelden / Vogelsang - Zell am See.
Grassy slope at the summit for north launches, west launch is almost cliff-like and should only be attempted with good wind conditions. Thermals are abundant on the west slope.
In east conditions, flights over Wallberg and Brauneck to Tegelberg or over Wallberg and Achensee into the Inntal are possible. West launch is ideal in the evening with west wind. Landing field in Bayrischzell on a large meadow (windsock).
Only experienced pilots should fly from the west launch site.
Access in summer by car to Walleralm via Sudelfeld, then on foot. Launch fee payable via QR code with PayPal or directly on the homepage (€5 daily ticket). In winter, access with a modern 8-seater chairlift and skis. Launch sites to the west and northeast.
Access: Inntalautobahn exit Brannenburg or via Bayrischzell to Oberes Sudelfeld.
Base village: Bayrischzell.
Landing field: Bayrischzell - meadow with windsock.

Difficulty: North launch site can be turbulent with west wind. West launch is cliff-like.
