It is unregulated, and an H3 rating is recommended for pilots. H2 pilots may fly here with an instructor under appropriate conditions, typically later in the day. However, it is questionable if this site is truly H2 friendly due to the long glide required to reach the landing zone (LZ). Conditions: Strong winds are common at this site. In strong west conditions, it is recommended to use Landing Zone 2 (LZ2).
