The Drachenfliegerclub Ingolstadt e.V. manages this site. It features a large launch meadow with straightforward takeoff and landing conditions. The designated landing area is in the Altmühltal valley, east of the football field. A day membership (€10.00) is required. A weather station from wetter.com is located directly at the launch site and can be accessed via the club's homepage. Visiting pilots should pay attention to the flight area information board.
Parking: The field path up to the chapel can only be used for loading and unloading. Vehicles must then be parked at the lot directly after the junction on the main road or next to the earth wall of the new pit.
Landing: Use the designated landing area on the meadow next to the football field. Otherwise, an external landing fee of €10 applies.
Hazards / Special Features: The launch sites appear very simple but can be highly turbulent in strong winds. Visiting pilots are only allowed to launch in the presence of a club member. A second launch site can be used in coordination with model aircraft pilots. Information boards at both launch sites provide details on the landing area, behavior rules, hazards, and day membership requirements. A day membership is also required for ground handling.
