Description
Monte Pizzoc, standing at 1515 meters, offers a rarely used takeoff point primarily on private property. It is crucial to follow local rules and seek permission from locals or the property owner before attempting to take off. Be aware of airspace restrictions in the area.
The takeoff direction is West, and the altitude at takeoff is approximately 1510 meters above sea level. This site is not recommended with winds coming from directions other than West due to its highly technical nature and strong conditions, especially in the cliffs.
Landing areas around Monte Pizzoc are on private land, so utmost respect for the environment and property is necessary to avoid disturbing the owners and regular users of the area. Except in emergencies, it is strongly advised against using other spaces for landing.

Monte Pizzoc is accessible via the state road 422 from Cansiglio, with access from Vittorio Veneto passing through Fregona and the Crosetta pass, continuing towards Pian Cansiglio. Follow the road through beech forests until you reach the summit, where you will find a vast green plateau offering a 360° panoramic view. On clear days, you can see the Venetian lagoon to the south, the Friulian plain to the east, and even Trieste and the Istrian coast on the horizon. To the north, you can spot the Dolomite peaks beyond the Alpago basin.
Monte Pizzoc is a popular destination for tourists who arrive on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback via marked trails. Near the summit, there are numerous huts where you can purchase local ricotta and cheeses.
