Description
Cima Visentin, located in the Prealpi Bellunesi, stands at an impressive 1,763 meters. This site offers various takeoff points, accessible by car, but due to its proximity to a military base, flying is restricted to weekends only.
The primary takeoff point is Cima Visentin. To reach it, follow the signs from Vittorio Veneto to Serravalle (Vittorio Veneto Nord), then to 'Monte Visentin'. It is mandatory to notify your presence before heading to the takeoff area. The takeoff direction is versatile, accommodating all wind directions, but it is not recommended with winds from the North due to highly technical and strong cliff conditions. The takeoff altitude is 1710 meters above sea level.
Landing is designated at loc. Fratta in the municipality of Tarzo and is only available to authorized pilots. Both hang gliders and paragliders can land here. Except in emergencies, using other landing spaces is strongly discouraged.
The ascent from Vittorio Veneto is particularly spectacular, though the road is narrow, partially paved, and becomes rough and unpaved. On clear days, the views are breathtaking, extending up to 250 km, allowing you to see the Adriatic Sea and the peaks of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
