Description
Monte Piella, located in the province of Bologna near Porretta Terme, offers a paragliding experience with a takeoff altitude of 1199 meters above sea level and a height difference of 600 meters. This site is frequented by pilots and is suitable for soaring and cross-country (XC) flights. Top landing is also possible here.
Access to the takeoff point can be achieved either by the club shuttle or by car. To reach Monte Piella, follow the directions from Porretta Terme to Castelluccio (5 km). After passing through the town, head towards Montecavallo. Continue on the paved road for 2 km until it turns into a dirt road. Proceed for another 2 km and then turn left towards Monte Piella (1 km).
The takeoff is technical for paragliders, and landing near the ostrich farm is prohibited.
