Description
Monte Pizzo, located in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, offers a paragliding experience with a takeoff altitude of 1163 meters and a height difference of 650 meters. The site is moderately popular among paragliders, with some opportunities for cross-country (XC) flights, especially when the cloud base is high.
The takeoff area faces northeast and is situated at the beginning of the Corno alle Scale mountain range, close to the Riva mountains and Pratignano. It is also just 13 km in flight from the Monte Calvanella takeoff in Sestola (Cimone).
The landing zone is visible from the takeoff point and is considered easy to navigate for the region. It is located near the home of Carlo Piacenti, a well-known paraglider in Alto Reno.

Access:
From Lizzano in Belvedere, head towards Vidiciatico (3 km). In the town square, turn left towards Monte Pizzo. Follow 2 km of paved road and then approximately 2 km of dirt road. The takeoff is located next to the chairlift arrival point.
