Description
The launch site is situated at an altitude of 1490-1520 meters with a height difference of approximately 1290 meters. It is a regularly used site with good potential for cross-country flights. Access is convenient by car.

To reach the site, follow the access road from Garziere, Santorso, towards S. Ulderico, Bosco di Tretto Contra Rossi, and M. Novegno (25 km). Wind indicators are present.
The terrain is a grassy field, suitable for both hang gliding and paragliding. The difficulty level is medium, and the site offers panoramic views. It is prohibited to fly with north winds and not recommended with east winds.
Landing zones:
For hang gliders: Santorso (8.8 km from the launch, not visible from the launch) with the nearest emergency landing at Timonchio (5.5 km, altitude 260 m).
For paragliders: Bosco di Tretto (altitude 780 m, not visible from the launch, no wind indicators). Note that the landing area at Bosco di Tretto is not managed by the club.
The launch and landing areas are managed by the club. The area is frequented by hang gliders, gliders, and paragliders. Launching is done with winds from the South, South-East, and South-West near the Baita dello Sci Club Novegno. The launch site is spacious, and the area is used for grazing. Be aware of high-tension power lines. There is a possibility of cross-country flights towards Bassano, with a critical point at Valle di Lavarda.

Directions: From the Piovene Rocchette highway exit, follow signs to Schio. Pass through the bus station (one-way), keep right towards Poleo-Santa Caterina. After reaching the church of Santa Caterina, continue until you reach a small village with a fountain (just before the hilltop). Turn left through the village and continue to the top. The dirt road is in good condition after about 1 km from the village. The drive from Schio takes approximately 45 minutes.
Flight Conditions: Variable thermal and dynamic activity (not very strong). The site is easily accessible with ample parking below. Thermal models are preferred over acrobatic ones.
Presence of People/Children/Paragliders: The site is also used by hang gliders, paragliders, and full-size gliders.
Additional Information: The location offers stunning views of the pre-Alps, a spacious landing area, and a hut open on Sundays with dining options.
