Description
Falapato is a paragliding site located in Castelsaraceno, Italy. The takeoff altitude is 1250 meters above sea level with a south to southwest exposure, making it an easy launch site. During the summer, permits are required for takeoff. The site is accessible by a single traction vehicle.
The landing zone is 350 meters below the takeoff point. It is also easy to reach and does not require any permits. The distance between the takeoff and landing zones is 6 kilometers, which typically takes about 15 minutes to cover by car.

The landing field is a meadow located below the access road to the takeoff point on the plateau at the foot of Monte Falapato. Afternoon flights are recommended when the valley wind from the south pushes the thermals upwards. From the takeoff point, head right towards the ridge. If you gain at least 400 meters in altitude, you can fly towards the dominant Monte Alpi, where the wind typically comes from the south.
