Description
The Michaelerberg flying site, located in Moosheim, Austria, offers an elevation of 1100 meters with a height difference of 325 meters. This site is particularly suitable for beginners and is frequently used for training and soaring. It is an exclusive training ground for the Sky Club Austria flight school and its members. The flight school building is conveniently located near the landing area, ensuring easy access for students and pilots.
Despite the modest height difference, the site provides a beautiful flight experience with stunning views of the Ennstal valley. The landing areas are spacious, providing a relaxed and enjoyable flight experience. However, cross-country flights are not possible here.
The Michaelerberg site is a designated training area, and flight students always have priority. Pilots must adhere to the prescribed landing pattern. The site features a large, long, and wide meadow next to the access road to the Michaelerberghaus, near the village of Knoll.
For those driving, parking is available directly at the entrance near the woodpile by the construction site. The site is suitable for both paragliders and hang gliders.
