Description
The launch site is located at an elevation of 317 meters and is occasionally used. It is known for thermal soaring, with the possibility of small cross-country flights. The site is not easy to navigate and requires a PP3 certification due to its challenging terrain and steep start.
The launch area, known as Gamle HG Rampa, is situated in the center of Meldal. It offers ample space but is characterized by a rugged landscape. For landing, you can use the field near the bus station or by the river, but be mindful of the growing season. There is a small tractor road across the field that can be used when the grass is tall.
