Parapente Lautersheim

The site has an elevation of 270 meters and a height difference of 30 meters. It is occasionally used for local strong wind soaring. Due to bird protection measures, the area is closed from March 15 to July 15. Located in Germany, the site record is 4.1 km with a South-South-West orientation. The 15-meter ridge works well in strong wind conditions. Flight operations can start no earlier than two hours after sunrise. The number of pilots allowed in the air simultaneously is limited to 5. Access to the flying site must be on foot, which takes about 5 minutes. Vehicles should be parked at the edge of Lautersheim village without blocking access to agricultural roads. Outlandings should be avoided; always aim to land on the field path below the gap.
