Parapente Eisenberg Stauf

This site, with a height of 300 meters, is regularly used for training, fun flights, and soaring. Occasionally, short cross-country flights are possible, but these are more likely from the upper launch site. Located in Germany, this area is the home mountain of the Fliegergemeinschaft Stauf e.V. On good days, it gets quite busy, and some great flights are made. It is situated west of Mannheim/Ludwigshafen and can be reached from there in about half an hour. This is an ideal training ground, as there are two launch levels: For beginners, the launch is halfway up the slope, which is sufficient for the first flights over a few hundred meters. Advanced pilots start from the top of the slope, allowing for significantly longer, higher, and farther flights. The suitable wind direction is from the south to southeast.
