Paragliding Karateke Honaz, Denizli

Located in Denizli, Turkey, this launch site is situated within the Honaz National Park, approximately 15 km from the city center (10 km paved road and 5 km well-maintained dirt road). The takeoff point is at an elevation of 1067 meters above sea level, with a height difference of about 532 meters from the landing area. The launch area is spacious, accommodating up to 7-8 wings simultaneously, making it very comfortable for takeoff. The site allows for flights in the directions of North, Northwest, and Northeast. This makes it a viable alternative when weather conditions are not suitable for Çökelez, especially with winds coming from the North, Northwest, and Northeast, offering potential for cross-country (XC) flights towards the South, Southwest, and Southeast. The site offers a unique flying experience with stunning forest views. Landings can be made in suitable fields between Honaz and Karateke, but pilots should be cautious of trees and power lines in the area.
