The paragliding site in Kaltenbuch, Germany, is rarely used or logged. It is primarily a local soaring spot. Although it is no longer listed in the DHV terrain database, it is still flown by local pilots. It is advisable to ask locals for more information.
The site has an elevation of 585 meters with a height difference of 30-50 meters. The site record is 21.2 km, achieved with a west wind at a -30m ridge.
The Fliegerfreunde Kaltenbuch is a small flying community. The site was approved in 2008. The launch area is gently sloped and then drops off to the west. Pilots should be cautious of the trees in front of the launch. Landing can be done on the path below or at the landing area beneath the road.
