Description
Eagle Rock, located on Crawford Mountain, offers paragliding opportunities with a launch height of 671 meters and a height difference of 500 meters. This site is occasionally used, primarily for thermalling and cross-country (XC) flights.
There are several landing zones (LZs) on the northwest side, but not all are always open due to crops and other factors. It's essential to check with local pilots to determine which NW LZs are currently active.
The northwest launch faces 325 degrees and is situated at coordinates N: 37° 37.958'; W: 079° 49.798' (37.632633, -79.829967). The altitude above ground level (AGL) is 1240 feet, with a bailout LZ at 675 feet.

Eagle Rock gets its name from a town in the valley and features two launches: one facing northwest and one southeast. The site record for the longest flight is 60.4 km.
