This site is regularly used for soaring flights. Takeoff: The launch area faces south and requires a headwind for optimal takeoff conditions. Landing: There is a good, large landing zone below the hill, making it suitable for safe landings. Getting There: The site is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur by road. Comments: Jugra Hill stands at approximately 400 feet above sea level. The area has good infrastructure and road access, making it convenient for both paragliding and sightseeing. Weather Hazards: - Be cautious of strong winds from the south or south-southeast, as they can create rotor effects from the small hill in front and to the left of the launch area. In such conditions, it is advisable to stay soaring over the launch and ridge area and avoid flying out front left unless you are well above launch height. - Strong east winds can make penetration difficult during landing, and the landing can be bumpy due to strong thermals. Avoid using too much brake on the landing approach.
