Description
Located in the Engelberg region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers an elevation range of 2050-2080 meters. It's a popular spot for walk & fly enthusiasts, providing excellent opportunities for soaring and cross-country (XC) flights. The site's altitude and orientation make it an ideal starting point for distance flights, although some hiking is required to reach the launch area.
The site is accessible within approximately 30 minutes. The terrain is partially rocky, and the launch area is a moderately steep gully visible to the right from the mountain station. The higher you hike, the better your chances of catching thermals, although on good days, you can launch from lower down as well.
Be prepared for turbulent air immediately after takeoff during strong thermal activity.
