Takeoff is located on a hill above the city of Cerklje, at approximately 1300 meters above sea level. After about 25 minutes of driving, you will reach the takeoff area, where parking is available. The takeoff is straightforward. For winds from the west or south, use the upper takeoff. For east winds, use the lower takeoff, which is about 200 meters lower. Both takeoff points are accessible by car.
The landing zone is at the foot of Grajski Vrh hill, which you pass on your way to the takeoff. Wind socks are present to help you determine the wind direction for landing.
To get there, head to the village of Grad. From Brnik Airport, drive straight to Cerklje and then towards the mountains. After about 500 meters from Cerklje, you will see a small church on your left and a large sign with directions on your right. Turn right there, and after another 500 meters, you will see the landing place. Locals can provide further directions if needed.
Foreign pilots are advised to fly safely to avoid jeopardizing insurance policies. For weather conditions, call +38631704123. Choose the correct takeoff side based on wind direction and avoid flying in hazardous conditions.
There is a controlled traffic region (CTR) near the landing place, so flights are restricted to a maximum altitude of 300 meters above the landing zone.
