Description
Located in the Kayseri region of Turkey, this paragliding site offers an elevation range between 1617 and 1749 meters, with a height difference of approximately 590 meters. It is a very popular spot, frequently used for cross-country (XC) flights, and even serves as a Paragliding World Cup (PWC) launch site.
The site is about 5-10 km from Kayseri and features a 'small' extinct volcano covered by grass and small bushes. The prevailing wind in September is from the northeast to northwest, with flights generally launched towards the west and flown to the east.
Before planning your flight, it is crucial to contact local authorities due to airspace restrictions in the area. The military monitors this zone, so compliance is essential.
Access to the take-off point is convenient with a good road suitable for 2WD vehicles. Additionally, there is a nearby 3900-meter volcano that offers winter skiing opportunities.
