Infos: Flat, choppy or waves, depending on wind direction and strength. Shallow for about 40m. Rocky mole in the water, as well as some old, wooden wave breakers. During summer marked swimmer zones, then go as far south as possible. With NE winds nice small waves breaking on the sandbar.

Infos: The sandy beach is about 25m wide. In summer the beach is very crowded. A grassy area for unpacking and packing is available.

Weather specificities: A wetsuit is necessary nearly all over the year. The water is between 5-20C (spring to summer), air temperature is in the average 18C (in summer) and can go up to 30C. If you have the adequate wetsuit you can surf from April to November. Off-season is possible but very cold.

Wind specificities: Summer lighter winds, but it can have nice NE or E winds. Best in NE, ENE and E.

Access description: by Car - From Hamburg and Luebeck drive North on the A1. Exit where signs say `Cismar` and follow that direction. In Cismar follow signs on the B501 to Kellenhusen or Dahme. Then follow signs to Kellenhusen and drive to the beach. Parking fee.

Extra: Very crowded beach in summer. Stay out of the main tourist area and go further south.
