In the summer season, you can manage with a shorty, but then again there's rarely good wind and lots of swimmers. The season starts around May when the ice melts and continues somewhere around October until the sea freezes again. In the winter you can go snow kiting there. The water is usually cold.

Wind type: Frontal

Wind specificities: The suitable wind directions are NW over W to S. S to W will be good by the surf center. Good winds arrive in the autumn on August to September.

Best months: August, September

Specific rules: Zones

Extra: There is a surfing center at the location. There is a kiteboarding/windsurfing area by the surfing center and on the beach to north from the surf center. To the south from the surf center there may be a lot of swimmers/sun bathers. When arriving for the first time discuss about the rules and the zone at the surf center or with the local (Finnish) kiteboarders before rigging you gear at the beach. If you do not use a kite leash you will get a free advice from the locals.
