Description
The paragliding site in Willingen, Germany, offers a take-off height of 759 meters with a height difference of 190 meters, suitable for easy to medium-level pilots. This site is regularly used and features a practice slope, making it ideal for soaring. Occasionally, some cross-country flights are possible. Higher take-offs are also available.
The best soaring conditions are typically with an east-southeast wind, although the launch area is oriented towards the east.

Pilots must adhere to the regulations set by the site holder, SauerlandAIR e.V. This location is a high-altitude flying area with numerous opportunities for both hang gliders and paragliders, making it ideal for extended flights.
Parking is available at the flight school or at the hut opposite.
Flying operations are permitted only between 9 AM and 6 PM. Detailed information and important guidelines can be found on the SauerlandAIR website.
A maximum of three pilots are allowed in the take-off window at any given time, so it is important to leave the area promptly after launching. Top landing is not permitted.
There is a cable car (drag lift) running along the right side of the site, which requires special attention. When flying over buildings, pilots must maintain sufficient altitude. All pilots must register in the flight logbook located at the "Vis@Vis Hütte" at the landing site. Guest pilots are required to pay a daily fee of 6 EUR at the "Vis@Vis Hütte."
Driving to the take-off area with a private vehicle is only allowed with a permit sign from the "Vis@Vis Hütte." Only three such permits are available. Even with a permit, you can only drive up to the last fork in the road before the take-off area. Hang gliders must use wheels.
