Description
Saturna Island, with an elevation of 326 meters, offers dynamic and thermal soaring opportunities. However, it is not an official paragliding site, and no flight logs are available. The area is part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, which means flying here could potentially lead to trouble with park authorities. If you still wish to give it a try, it is crucial to seek permission from the landowners, specifically the Campbell family.
The scenery is breathtaking, making it a dream location for those who manage to get permission. To reach the launch site, you need to hike down from the park lookout and enter the Campbell property.
Due to the infrequent and lengthy ferry service, paragliding activities on Saturna Island are quite rare.
