Description
This site, located at an altitude of 1535 meters in Germany, is rarely used and is primarily known for leisure flights. The launch site facing north is situated right next to the summit cross and is relatively flat. During winter, it is essential to coordinate with the lift operator before launching and to fly high enough to the right to avoid the lift cables.
Be cautious of the CTR Salzburg and CTA Hallein zones, which start at 300 meters above ground level. The elevation difference from the launch site is approximately 1100 meters. So far, no significant cross-country flights have been recorded from this location.
Thermal connections can be found at Kehlsteinhaus, Hoher Göll, Jenner, and Dürrnberg. The launch sites are challenging, and during winter, launching from the ski slope is prohibited without prior coordination with the lift operator.

There is only a drag lift available. Access to the launch site is via the Rossfeld Höhenstrasse, which requires a toll payment, or by bus.
