Description
This paragliding site in Germany offers a launch altitude of 1530 meters with a height difference of 1050 meters. It is occasionally used and is suitable for soaring, thermal flying, and leisure flights.
The east-facing launch site is quite steep and somewhat overgrown. The north-facing launch site is located directly at the summit cross and is relatively flat. During winter, coordinate with the lift operator before launching and ensure you fly high enough to the right to avoid the lift cables.
Be cautious of the CTR Salzburg and CTA Hallein zones, which start at 300 meters above ground level. The elevation difference is approximately 1100 meters. Although no significant cross-country flights have been recorded from this site, thermal connections can be found at Kehlsteinhaus, Hoher Göll, Jenner, and Dürrnberg.
The launch sites are challenging, and starting on the ski slope is prohibited in winter without prior coordination with the lift operator.

Access to the site is via the Rossfeld Höhenstrasse, which requires a toll payment, or by bus.
