Schlegelmulde is a cliff-like launch site suitable only for experienced paragliders. The site is best used with southwest to west winds. The launch direction is northeast and can be reached with a 10-minute walk from the mountain station. The launch area is short, bordered by a chairlift at the back, and drops steeply into the Alpgartental. On thermally active days, the wind can be strong, making it suitable only for proficient reverse launchers.
Predigtstuhl is known for its complex wind conditions and challenging launch sites, making it more appropriate for experienced pilots. Guest pilots are advised to consider this when choosing their flying site. There are no start or landing fees, as the maintenance of the flying area is funded by club member contributions.
Flight regulations at Predigtstuhl include:
- No launches outside the approved, windsock-marked launch sites.
- No landings outside the approved areas.
- Launches only in good weather conditions.
Additional information is posted at the valley station notice board.
