These areas are accessible via a private toll road from Zwischenflüh. The start points are not directly reachable by vehicle, requiring a hike of about 20-30 minutes. The hike from Zwischenflüh to Speicherböden takes about 2.5-3 hours, offering a scenic route, especially in winter.
The slope is ideal for those who prefer flying away from crowded spots and is also suitable for larger groups due to the wide takeoff areas.
Directions:
- From Haslistrasse, turn right at the farm, follow Walstrasse towards Unters Blaachi until the intersection.
- Turn left to reach the takeoff points at Turnen and Speicherboden.
- At the next intersection, head towards Alts Läger until Alp Tärfeten, then turn right towards Speicherboden or Rinderalp.
Landing Zones:
- Near Zwischenflüh, above the school where the road curves sharply (Zwischflühstrasse-Meniggründstrasse). The landing zone is on a hilly meadow, making it quite challenging. Beware of power lines near the farmhouse.
- Alternatively, use the meadow next to the road behind the school (also watch out for numerous power lines).
Flights from Turnen and Abendberg towards Simmental are highly recommended due to the stunning scenery. Pay attention to glide ratio in strong headwinds.
