Access:
From Zwischenflüh, a private toll road leads to the takeoff points. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machine near the Zwischenflüh cheese dairy. The takeoff sites are not directly accessible by vehicle, requiring a hike of about 20-30 minutes.
Additional Information:
The area is popular with ski tourers in winter and hikers in summer. The slopes are ideal for those who prefer flying away from large crowds and are also suitable for larger groups due to the wide takeoff areas.
Directions:
From the Haslistrasse near the farm, turn right and follow the Walstrasse towards Unters Blaachi until the intersection. Turn left to reach the takeoff points at Turnen and Speicherboden. At the next intersection, head towards Alts Läger until Alp Tärfeten. Before reaching the alp, turn right to the takeoff points at Rinderalp or Abendberg.
Landing Zones:
1. Near Zwischenflüh, above the schoolhouse where the road makes a sharp turn (Zwischflühstrasse-Meniggründstrasse). The landing zone is on a hilly meadow and can be challenging. Watch out for power lines near the farmhouse.
2. On the meadow next to the road behind the schoolhouse. Be cautious of the numerous power lines.
Flights from Turnen and Abendberg towards Simmental are possible, offering stunning scenery. Pay attention to glide ratio in strong headwinds.
